2027 Monterey Colors Debut at Fort Lauderdale: What We Saw on the Show Floor

We made the trip to Fort Lauderdale last week for the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show — one of the biggest marine events in the world — and the Monterey display did not disappoint. The 2027 Elite lineup was on full display under the iconic Monterey circular sign, and the new hull colors stopped us cold.

Three New Colors That Change the Game

Monterey has always built a beautiful boat. But the 2027 color palette takes things to a different level. Three new options are generating serious buzz:

Gloss Black

This is the one everyone was stopping to photograph. A piano-black hull with a white deck and chrome accents — it photographs like a luxury car and looks even better in person. The contrast between the black hull and the white deck is sharp and dramatic. If you want a sport boat that turns heads at the dock, this is it.

Navy Blue with Red Stripe

Bold, classic, and unmistakably American. The navy hull with a red accent stripe and chrome trim is a throwback to the golden age of sport boating — but executed with modern precision. This one drew a crowd every time we walked past the display. It's the kind of color combination that looks great in photos but is absolutely stunning in person.

Graphite Gray

The most understated of the three, and arguably the most sophisticated. A deep graphite gray hull with a chrome rub rail and Monterey badge — clean, modern, and timeless. If you want a boat that looks expensive without screaming for attention, this is your color.

The Elite 34 GT Up Close

The star of the Monterey display was the Elite 34 GT — their flagship Grand Touring sport boat. We got up close to the cockpit and stern, and the build quality is exceptional.

The open hardtop, the cockpit layout, the helm station — everything is designed for serious offshore performance with luxury-level comfort. The Mercury outboard package on the show floor model was immaculate.

The Full Lineup on Display

Monterey had multiple boats on the show floor, including the Elite 23 OB and several other models in the new color options. Seeing them all together under the Monterey display ring gave a real sense of the brand's direction for 2027: bolder colors, sharper lines, and uncompromising build quality.

The Monterey circular overhead sign is a fixture at every major boat show — it's been a landmark on the show floor for decades. Seeing the 2027 lineup displayed beneath it was a genuine moment.
